Our Story

A dream that has been cooking for years

In the 1920s, Italian immigrants in Chicago’s meatpacking district slow-roasted tough cuts in highly seasoned au jus. That tradition became the city’s iconic Italian beef — and the Ferraro family’s premium version.

Chef Ciccio was born from Mario Ferraro’s desire to bring Italian beef back to what it was always meant to be. Opened at Navy Pier in 2022, we’re a 100% scratch kitchen with one rule from Mario: “You should never trust a skinny chef.”
